VOLO #44– December 2016 – Cover Page

VOLO Magazine 44

VOLO December 2016 Issue is almost over and this is the last (regular) issue of the magazine for the year… Did you expect snow covered mountains and nude models being tortured on icy slopes? LOL – Well you should know better by now. We are VOLO and we will never do what is expected!

We wanted to end the year with an issue filled with beauty. Beauty of our mother planet combined with the beauty of its most ethereal residents (women of course). So we decided to create our 2016 ‘scapes’ issue and to make sure we could capture women nude in nature without the torture of snow covered slopes we did what was obvious to us… Go where there is Summer in Winter! Enjoy a special section of outdoor nudes shot in Australia just to cap off an incredible year.

What else is new?

Well VOLOVAULT.COM and VOLOART.GALLERY is where it is folks. We know many of you love to have issues of magazines stored in your hard drives, but ask yourself how many times you actually go back to these PDF copies and look through them to enjoy the art. By mid 2017 every worthy set from every past issue of VOLO will be included as a gallery on VOLOVAULT and the best of the best images will be showcased on VOLOART.GALLERY, available for vieweing to members whenever you want, wherever you are, instantly! No need to flip through thousands of pages in PDF documents to find that incredible shot you loved so much.

We are also improving our indexing to allow google to find images directly inside the VOLOVAULT library, so it will super easy to get to images created by your favorite models and photographers.
All that and more… Coming in 2017. It’s going to be a good year.

Till next time, stay VOLO.

Enjoy the issue,

VOLO Magazine 43

While the rest of the magazines in the world are busy shooting holiday and winter themes, we at VOLO in our own rebellious way… Decided to go the other way. We are all cold and damp this season, so why extend the gloom? Wouldn’t it be better to cheer up the mood and heat up the atmosphere with an issue that melts the hardest of snowflakes in seconds!

Welcome to VOLO 43, the first VOLO EROS issues of its kind. Going forward the ‘Eros’ tag on the VOLO logo will represent a more erotic themes in issues it’s marked with. Don’t worry, we are not changing our direction and becoming more of the same as with all the other nude magazines in the world, this is still a VOLO issues and every page is filled with incredible photography and excellence in execution of the concept and the genre the photographer aimed for.

A note to our contributing photographers. We know that VOLO has become incredibly selective in the content that goes into our Print editions, and that is because the world is demanding a higher level of excellence from us all the time. But the world of VOLO has expanded, with over 400,000 followers on Instagram and over

1.7 Million pageviews of our sites last month, there is no better outlet to showcase your nude photography. The submissions that are showcased in the VOLO VAULT recieve a much higher number of eyeballs than the ones in the pages of the magazine, and that is why we are also publishing magazine sets on to the VOLO VAULT.

VOLOVAULT is going to become the primary destination for quality nude photography in the world in just a few months, so go claim your spot.

Enjoy the issue,

VOLO Magazine 42

Fall is here and it’s already evident and beautiful in California. While a lot of magazines will jump to doing Fall focused issues, we at VOLO however wanted to go in a little bit different direction and make this issue all about the beauty of locations.

The majority of the editorials showcased in this issue have been shot at locations that are astoundingly beautiful, incredibly remote, remarkably historic, incredibly harsh or in some cases, showcasing the plain beauty of nature that surrounds us all (except the city dwellers) and all we have to do is open our eyes to experience it. Of course in true VOLO fashion, all these locations have been complimented by some of the most beautiful and natural human forms we could find.

One of the things that we have finally come to realize is that, what VOLO publishes, affects way more people than just the artists and subscribers. We have been able to inspire a whole new generation of photographers who have been enabled by the easy (and now affordable) access to digital SLR cameras. VOLO has given these artists, inspiration, direction and a conduit to photograph women respectfully, beautifully and showcase their true and natural beauty captured in conjunction with the beauty of nature, to a global audience.

This is what we started out to achieve, and it warms our heart everyday when a new photographer comes forward and tells us passionately, how our magazine has shaped their work and pushed them forward.

Till next time,

It was a sexy summer! And as it Fades into Fall we wanted to bring you some of the hottest glimpses that Summer 2016 bestowed on the VOLO world.

To start with I would like to congratulate Peter Marosi on his much deserved win in the hotly contested VOLO Photography Awards for Summer 2016. Peter who is no stranger to VOLO created a relaxed and simple photoset for the contest which featured his muse (and wife) Barbara… And it was just Perfect. Our fans thought so, when they voted it into the top 5, and we were sure of it when we picked the winner. Moving on this issue. Summer is hot, so please don’t be offended if we did push the boundaries of ‘traditional’ nude art photography a bit in this issue. VOLO has a very specific aesthetic and we have mastered the subtle lines where erotica meets art. Some of the sets in this issue do fall in that category, specially the one by Alexander Prischepov of Russia which truly showcases the raw beauty and naughtiness that is intrinsicly VOLO.

Our cover set is shot by first time VOLO photographer Cassandra Keyes. Cassandra teams up with the sheer perfection of cover model Ashleigh Macauliffe to create a dreamy set in sultry Bali. There are 16 VOLO goddesses featured in 9 photo stories in this is- sue… So stop reading and go look 🙂

Till next time,

VOLO Magazine 40

Welcome VOLOnian’s to the 40th issue of VOLO.

We rolled out a more contemporary and artistic look to the magazine in our last issue and in this one we continue down that theme of bold designs and the ‘mood framework’, enhancing the the photo-story with the design layouts.

We follow up the incredible Vassilis Pitoulis with an amazing cover editorial by Colombian photographer Angel Vargas. One of South America’s most discernible artists, Angel is an incredible addition to the VOLO Family and you will see a lot more from him in coming issues. VOLO 40 continues our tradition of excellence and I am hoping it will keep you spellbound from page 1 to page 177. Remember that VOLO is a PRINT book too, and if you like an issue a lot, it’s easy to order a coffee table hard copy edition printed on photographic paper for your bookcase. These magazine WILL become collectibles in the future.

This is the month the 1stVOLO Photography Awards culminate. We are excited to give out a $1000 check and the title of ‘VOLO Artist of Summer 2016’ to one of the many great photographers who took part. The winner will be announced on Sep 1 and picked by the VOLO team among the top 5 voted images on our Instagram stream @volomagazine hashtagged #avolosummer.

Do reach out to me and let me know what else we can do to keep you as lifelong subscribers to VOLO Magazine.

Enjoy the issue and don’t forget to stay VOLO.

VOLO Magazine 39

Welcome to VOLO 39.

As you may have already noticed, we are rolling out a new layout for the magazine in this issue, and also going away from ‘themed’ issues for a little bit.

The new design is more contemporary and modern as well as more functionally capable in showcasing each artists work within a ‘mood’ framework that it deserves.

As we attract more and more incredible artists in VOLO, we want to make sure we provide them with a showcase that is the BEST IN THE WORLD… But we are not ready to compromise on our ‘Inclusivity’. VOLO has always welcomed artists from all over the world with varying levels of skill to its pages and website. The new design ensures that we can continue doing that, while subtly structuring the magazing based on level of refinement of the artists work.

We are about to start on projects that will lead to the VOLO Network and the VOLO Workshop series. We will be enlisting the best photographers among us to create personalized photography classes for the upcoming photographers aimed to elevate their work to the levels of the greats.

This issue is simply one of the best we have every produced and surely is an issue that you should also order in Coffee Table Print editions to cherish forever in your shelves.

VOLO Magazine 37

Hey there VOLO world,

How are you all doing today?

Welcome to VOLO 37, our issue to formally welcome the summer of 2016. It’s finally sunny at the VOLO house and the team is enjoying the sun and producing some great work. VOLO.Social is rocking, we have over 50 new sets queued up for Bonus Content sections and of course another 170 page mega magazine is out.

If you love nature, this issue should delight you. If you like natural women, this issue should become one of your favorites. And yes, this is one of those issues you should buy in print and keep in your collection… It will be worth the visual richness.

A lot of people continually ask us why VOLO is not in commercial print. Well, two main reasons… 1) Not enough subscribers 2) Regular print paper would not do justice to the images in the magazine. The best solution is the beautiful ‘photo quality’ images and hard cover issues that you can order on-demand through our ‘Order Print Issues’ section of VOLODaily.com.

We are optmimistic for 2016 as a lot of good things are happening and if you are a current All-Access member, hold on to it, because starting this issue single issue prices hit $9.99 and we will be completely revamping subscription pricing which releases on June 1.

Enjoy the issue and don’t forget to stay VOLO.

VOLO #36 – April 2016 – Cover Page

VOLO Magazine 36

Hello VOLO people,

Hope you are all in good mood and high spirits as you are about to enjoy and admire another issue of VOLO.

As I finalize this issue of VOLO Magazine, I finally see clear skies in San Francisco and temperaturs are finally allowing us to go out without heavy jackets… That is the signal that summer is finally approaching and along with it will come a barrage of content from the VOLO studios, videos, live streams and social posts. Stay tuned on our Instagram account @volomagazine to make sure you don’t miss anything!

This is our Colors of Art issue, which follows one of the most incredible black and white issues we have ever produced. VOLO 35 raised the bar, even by VOLO standards and we had to look far and look hard and break a lot of hearts to finally select the 170 pages that you have started enjoying in this issue.

One of the things we do need your help with… Please do not share the PDF’s you download from here publicly. Legally we can go after you but that is not the VOLO way. We had to turn password locks back on PDF’s because many of you started sharing your PDF voluntarily or involuntarily on free file sharing sites. These sites NOT ONLY hurt us, but they always attach trojans and viruses to the download attachments and infect the computers of the people who are trying to save enough to buy a cup of coffee while stealing Art.

Yes! Thats all it takes to support VOLO and keep us growing and getting better work for you. $5.99 a month (A Starbucks Venti Caramel Frappuccino) is all you need to sacrifice to make sure we can keep on bringing this level of incredible art to you.

To support the incredible amount of concurrent PDF downloads from our readers, we had to upgrade our cloud architecture. It literally costs an arm and a leg to keep VOLODaily.com running, so please help us and keep your subscription going… And yes, please don’t share those PDF’s.

Till next time, stay VOLO.

VOLO Magazine 35

Welcome to Spring 2016, VOLOnians,

How are you all doing?

I know we pushed the boundaries quite a bit with VOLO 34 our EROS and LOVE issue, but we are right back to our pure photographic art niche with VOLO 35, the issue that you should certainly buy in PRINT.

The level of photography we have managed to assemble in this issue is truly astounding even by VOLO standards. Leading the charge is the young upcoming photographer fom Austrialia, Tommy Medveczky who shot the incredible ‘Blazing Sun’ cover set of the issue… But the real photographic genius of this issue is none other than the incredible Guenter Knop. Guenter has been shooting pictures for over 50 years and we are lucky to bring you some of his best ‘film’ work in this issue of VOLO. That is priceless… I sometimes reminisce about the time I would spend hours in the darkroom, trying to do get light flare effects properly developed on film… chemicall spills… Oh the fun of it. Film was pretty amazing, though there is no way I could go back.

Anyway, back to the present. We would love it if you would follow us on instagram @volomagazine and like and comment on the incredible collection of images from our contributing artists we post there on a daily basis.

One more thing, we have to turn the locks back on the PDF’s that you download from VOLODAILY.COM. Some of the not so art friendly subscribers have been merrily sharing the PDF’s with everyone who wants it and we need to make sure we protect that or else we will no longer be able to produce this gorgeous magazine. The password would be your VOLODAILY EMAIL ADDRESS.

Please ask your friends to subscribe at www.volodaily.com. We need many more subscribers to break even and keep on going.

Till next time, stay VOLO.

VOLO #34 - February 2016 -Cover Page

VOLO Magazine 34

Happy Valentines Day VOLOnians,

Hope you all had crazy sexy Valentine celebrations and are feeling suitably light in your back pocket after proving your love for your significant other with a sizable donation to a fashion or jewelry store 😉

Now that is out of the way, I hope the smart ones among you who did not have a VOLO all-access subscription, took advantage of our Valentines day sale and got all-access… Because it’s going to be the best VOLO investment you have ever made. With this issue we are also introducing the VOLO Marketplace. Now VOLO artists can sell digital and print versions of their ART on VOLODaily.com. If you have been waiting to buy that one (or two…or three) VOLO images that you wanted to frame up on your bedroom wall, you can now do so. We will be releasing new PRINTS every week.

Let’s talk about the issue… Ohh!! How hot is our cover model? I think if you pour water on her, it will turn into steam instantly. Yep that hot! and what you see in the magazine is only a small glimpse of her hotness as Joel has promised to put up a digital set of her images which is supposed to blow our brains away.

EVERY set in this issue is smoking hot, to the point that I had quite a difficult time justifying the inclusion of some images in the magazine, because you know… VOLO is pure art!! We push the edges, but we are the worlds #1 art magazine and we will never go over to the dark side.

So in this issue we take on the hard hard job of portraying some intensely erotic situations in the most artistic manner… Did we succeed? Maybe. Did we fail? I am sure there will be people who will think we did… But one thing is certain, we will listen to you and keep on trying. And we will keep on experimenting and pushing the edges.

I am sure you guys don’t expect anything less.

Thanks for being a VOLOnian.

VOLO Magazine 33

Happy New Year VOLOnians,

I am going to adopt Sacha Leyendeckers endearing terminology for VOLO readers and fans for a moment and call you VOLOnians, the inhabitants of the world of VOLO.

I want to start with a request for you all. We need your feedback on the brand new VOLODaily.com. We spent a lot of sleepless nights on this architecture which now supports ‘Single Sign-on’, ‘Premium Content’ and introduces the all new VOLOLIVE.TV. Have you been watching? Send me your feedback and critique, we are very close to getting this right, but I am sure there are pieces you will find that will help us perfect the new platform.

Let’s talk about issue 33. For 2016 we have decided to return to THEMED issues. That means every issue will be a collection of layouts of a particular type of photography/models. We start with something which is 360degrees opposite to our Dec 2015 issue, presenting the GLAM-ART 2016 issue. All the photosets in this issue are shot in the format of GLAMOUR photography (though not quite like the jaded glamour photography you find elsewhere). We would love your feedback on the issue and the concept of themes.

Also coming soon will be our collectors editions issues from 2015, the BEST OF issues are the ones you must buy in print and collect forever.

Please write back to me as your feedback is what makes VOLO great!
