Our “Masters Issue,” also known as VOLO #9, helped bring VOLO to the fore not only at the top of the Zinio.com best sellers shelf, but also in the art world. In this, VOLO #10 we continue pushing boundaries bringing back Art of Dan (Dani Fehr), Jacques Rattaz, and Tomek Tomkowiak then adding to the mix excerpts from internationally acclaimed photographer Renée Jacobs’ provocative new book “Paris,” a gorgeous set by Carlo Mari who is well known for his reportage in Africa, and a stunning underwater series from Dmitry Laudin.
Also premiering new photo submissions are Dimitry Oleynichenko “Shades & Shadows”, and Walter Fantauzzi “Before the Night Begins.” In addition, we are also very proud to have joining VOLO for the first time writer Kasia Szarek with her juicy new column that I’l llet you discover on your own.
The issue is rounded out by a narrative set of model Mai Emerald by VOLO CEO Shankha. This issue’s ‘VOLO Body’ and Cover Model, Miki Hamano has quickly earned a place as one of San Francisco Bay Area’s most sought after models, not only for her nude work but also for her talent in commercial and fashion modeling – she is truly one to watch.
It’s hard to believe that you are holding in your hands (or on your computer or tablet) VOLO’s 10th issue. Where did all the time go? It seems like only yesterday I was sitting down to work on VOLO #4, my first issue as Editor in Chief. I’d like to thank our readers and supporters for helping VOLO to continuously grow – we couldn’t (and wouldn’t) do it without you.
Having said that, selecting content for #10 was no easy task – the quality and volume of outstanding submissions that we have been receiving is truly astounding. Keep your eye on us – you may start to see fresh issues of VOLO more frequently and I am very excited about bringing more great VOLO content to you over the next 10 issues.
Please remember to join us online at http://www.volomagazine.com to enjoy the four new Xxpanded sets from this issue and if you haven’t discovered it on your own yet, you can now let your voice be heard by voting in our new VOLO Vixen photo contest!
I hope you really enjoy this issue of VOLO, and as always I welcome your direct feedback. Send your comments, criticisms, gripes and praises to me at [email protected] and let me know how we can continue to make VOLO better for you.
